Job Seekers

All services are free and designed to assist job seekers in their career and job search.

Job Seekers ready to go to work are directed to the Guernsey County Opportunity Center's resource room. Our staff resource center is equipped with ten computer workstations that have internet access, career & job search links, resume preparation software, and educational tutorials. Job seekers will register in Ohio's job placement service that matches job seekers with employers. Telephones, copiers, and fax service is available to make job contacts. Job seekers receive guidance on developing their resume and can print multiple copies using a variety of resume paper and envelopes.

Job Seekers who need training or re-training to gain marketable skills will be assigned to a specialist to begin looking at training options, training providers, and training funds.
