![]() Summer Employment Experience Is designed to enhance the employability of the youth in the
future. An individual assessment is completed and reviewed prior to placing
youth at work sites. For nine weeks the summer students work in positions that
are directly linked to academic and occupational learning. The program partners
with private sector employers, community based organizations, schools, and local
government agencies.
W.O.R.K. (Work Opportunities Reaching Kids) Focuses on community improvement projects. A variety of projects are lined up. Two local school instructors are hired to supervise a team of 14 youth. The youth are selected from the Summer Employment Program. This W.O.R.K. team then tackles each project on the list and make improvements throughout the county, one community at a time. This team quickly realizes the importance of community involvement. |
